Peter and his wife Liz have long been an integral part of the Scudder Association Foundation. He and his family were frequent visitors to the Scudder Retreat on Shelter Island, NY, where the wind and the sea were woven into the family’s spirit. His presence within our organization will be sorely missed.

It is my privilege to share with you some very exciting news about Professor of Medicine and Vice Chair of Education at Stanford University Medical School, Dr. Abraham Verghese, who also happens to be a distinguished member of the Vellore CMC Foundation corporation!

She had even offered to go with them and do what she could under her father’s direction, but the Brahmin was adamant. She had no medical training: she was forced to let this husband go without aid for his dying wife.
