Purchasing and delivering a gift membership is easy:

Add a gift membership to your cart and check out. You can purchase one membership at a time.Choose How to Deliver It
You’ll receive a unique membership link to share directly with the recipient.
Or, provide the recipient’s email address at checkout, and we’ll email the gift to them on your behalf.
Recipient Activates Membership
The recipient clicks the link to create their own account on scudder.org—fully paid for by you.Track Your Gifts
Your account will show all gift memberships you’ve purchased, and you can purchase as many gift codes as you want.Once a recipient redeems their gift, the status in your account will update to “Expired” to indicate it has been used.
Auto-Renewal Options
Want to continue supporting your recipient’s membership?
Auto-Renew On: You’ll be automatically billed each year to keep their membership active.
Auto-Renew Off: You can choose to gift a one-year membership only. Just uncheck the box labeled “Would you like to set up automatic renewals?” during checkout. When the membership term ends, the recipient will have the option to renew it themselves.
Annual Gift Membership
– $35/year – includes:
- Custom membership certificate noting your Scudder Ancestor and date of arrival in America.
- Full access to the members-only library on the Foundation’s website
- Access to our Family Historian and research resources
- An opportunity to meet other Scudders online and at annual meetings.
Lifetime Gift Membership
– Invest $1,000 in your association and receive all annual member benefits and further support the philanthropic goals of the association.
- Members whose philanthropic donations through the Foundation exceed $1,000 in a calendar year, also receive Lifetime Membership.
- Lifetime membership certificates come enclosed in custom wooden frame.
