2024 Scudder Reunion Dates Announced

2024 Scudder Reunion Dates Announced

Join us in beautiful and historic Bucks County, Pennsylvania, October 18-20, for the Scudder Association Foundation’s 2024 reunion and annual meeting.
Megan Coleman and Renee Scudder, who head the Reunion Committee, say there is plenty to see and do in the area. We’ll visit the site where George Washington and his troops crossed the Delaware River and we’ll trace the route where two our of Scudder ancestors helped lead the Revolutionary general to Trenton, NJ, and a key victory over Hessian mercenaries that was a turning point in the war. We’ll visit the Old Barracks where the Hessians were housed and visit sites in New Jersey where Scudders lived, spied, and fought during the war.
Do you like your history with a touch of charm? There are ten covered bridges you can drive across in Bucks County alone.
The name and location of our base hotel will be announced soon, along with the special room rates arranged by Megan and Renee.
Here’s the tentative schedule.
• Friday night: An informal get-together dinner to greet old friends and cousins and meet new people.
• Saturday: A guided bus tour visiting several significant Revolution area sites with Scudder ties including Washington’s Crossing and the Old Barracks in Trenton.
• Saturday evening: Our Annual Meeting followed by the Reunion Dinner including historical speakers and presentations.
• Sunday morning: An informal get-together at the base hotel.
The area is easily accessible by train, plane, and excellent highways including the Scudder Falls Bridge, an award-winning structure that carries Interstate 295 across the Delaware River. We’ll provide full details on how to get there in future web posts.
Save the dates. It’s going to be fun
