CMC Hospital Gala to Honor Donors and Raise Funds for New Pediatric Unit
A new chapter in the delivery of pediatric care is about to unfold in Vellore, India. CMC’s Pediatric Specialty Centre is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2026, so the purpose of this year’s gala is to ensure that each department in the new hospital is fully equipped by the first day patients arrive.
Upon learning about the auction, two remarkable donors came forward, each offering a matching gift of $500,000. As a result, the foundation can offer a 2-to-1 match on every donation made until the gala fundraising goal of $500,000 is reached.
The gala will take place at Pier 59 at Chelsea Piers, an expansive waterfront venue overlooking the Hudson River, renowned for its stunning views and vibrant creative atmosphere.
A highlight of the evening will be honoring Ajit Isaac, Founder and Chairman of Quess Corp and the Ajit Isaac Foundation.
Ajit Isaac is a pioneering entrepreneur and philanthropist whose work has reshaped India’s business services sector and expanded economic opportunity for hundreds of thousands of people. As Founder and Chairman of Quess Corp, he built one of the country’s largest private‑sector employers, guided by a belief that dignified work is a powerful engine of social mobility. His leadership is widely recognized for its integrity, long‑term vision, and commitment to building institutions that strengthen society.
Beyond business, Ajit has devoted himself to advancing education and public health—two pillars that closely align with the mission of CMC Vellore. Through the Ajit Isaac Foundation, which he co-founded with his wife, Sarah Isaac, he supports programs that help young people from underserved communities pursue professional careers and break generational cycles of poverty.
In 2023, Ajit and Sarah made a landmark philanthropic contribution to the Indian Institute of Science to establish the Isaac Centre for Public Health, a transformative initiative that will train future leaders in public health and support advanced medical research.
