Scholarship Program Being Reinstated

Scholarship Program Being Resumed

The SAF Scholarship Program, which has been suspended for over a year because of tax questions, is headed for resumption, hopefully by the end of the year.

A five-member committee, headed by Susan Scudder, is at work designing a plan that will clear the way to giving scholarships in the U.S. and India in such fields as medicine, theology, social services, education, and humanitarian services.  A budget of $40,000 has been approved for this program in 2025.

The committee is initially contacting 15 American universities with ties to India and/or the Scudder family to gauge interest in the program.  More schools will be added later.  The universities will select the recipients.
